Parents' Forum

Oakwood School is proud of its working relationships with parents and carers. We are always striving to develop and improve our links with parents. The Parents’ Forum at Oakwood School is made up of a group of interested parents of students from across the Year Groups, together with teachers and governors, who meet on a half termly basis to discuss issues relating to the student's learning and time at school. Through open discussion we seek to gain parental opinion on topics related to school improvement.

The aims of Parents’ Forum:

  • To develop and improve dialogue between parents and the school.
  • To continue to make whole-school improvements which benefit the academic, social and emotional progress and well-being of our students.
  • To raise staff awareness of the needs of students and parents.
  • To raise the profile of the school in the wider community.

When do Parents’ Forum meet?

We meet once a term. The meetings are held after school from 6.00-7.00 pm in relaxed and friendly surroundings!
