Prefects' Welcome

Welcome to our website and our school.
We are the Lead Senior Prefects, chosen by students, for students.

As a team, we oversee numerous roles integral to the positive environment of our school. These roles allow Oakwood to be the embracing place that it is, which keeps the staff-student relationship open and constructive. Our aim is to work with students to keep them feeling welcome and supported, and particularly the new year 7s. We work closely with the amazing team of Year 10 Peer mentors to form strong connections between every student in Year 7 and a member of the upper school.

Within the school, we are the lead body for student voices to be heard and understood by. We correspond with senior members of staff to ensure that every child’s voice is heard. We are always present in the school community and uphold our School’s values of ambition, belonging, character and Achieving Excellence Together both in school and out of it.

It is our duty to represent Oakwood in numerous events across the school year; you will see us at assemblies, parents’ evenings and events in the community, representing the school and what it stands for. We are very approachable, so when you see us around, feel free to stop and ask any questions, and if we can’t immediately answer, we will find someone who can.

We hope to see you at one of the diverse range of events that the school offers, and we are looking forward to getting to know you.
